Why would HP4550 printouts be faded?
Pulled the HP4500dn out of storage and the 1st config page came out great, but then after that they were all streaked. I then replaced the Drum kit, Fuser Kit and Transfer kit and all the toners which are OEM HP stuff. Now it prints clean pages but they are faded. Anyone know why this might be?
Sounds like it COULD be dust on the lens in front of the laser, but without seeing a scan of the image it's hard to be sure.
there are many things can cause "faded" images, the most common is toner dust on laser lens, this is especially if the faded area is in stripes.
If you've replaced the toners, drum and transfer, plus fuser I can't think of anything else it could be.
